Moonlighter 2 Physical Copy

Moonlighter 2 physical copy is a 13 November 2026 Silver Lining Interactive plan, not a 2 September 2026 box. Digital 1.0 already shipped that morning on Steam, Microsoft Store, PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2. RPGamer, GoNintendo, and Silver Lining Direct agree the boxed SKUs are PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. Xbox is digital in that plan. Standard UK announcement prices: £24.99 PC, £34.99 PS5, £44.99 Switch 2. Collector editions: £49.99 PC, £59.99 PS5, £69.99 Switch 2, plus merch. USA and Canada ESRB notes on Silver Lining’s page point local retailers for the ESRB standard edition.

A boxed November cart does not add biomes. You can finish Vault VII in September on download and still buy the box for the shelf.

What a Moonlighter 2 physical copy actually contains

Vault cube in Tresna plaza
Official Steam still: digital 2 September, plastic 13 November. Same cube.

Standard edition: the 1.0 campaign on cart or disc for that platform. Collector: standard copy plus collector’s box, digital artbook, three patches, holo sticker, diorama sticker sheets, poster, four postcards, metal coin. Silver Lining’s PS5 collector page repeats that list and notes the title launches 13 November 2026. GoNintendo’s Switch 2 announcement is the same dates: digital 2 Sept, physical 13 Nov, Standard and Collector.

Zen Patio, soundtrack, and original artbook as Steam DLC ($4.99 / $9.99 / $4.99) are not the boxed digital artbook. Do not expect the metal charm to unlock a patio. Points Shop items are Valve overlay.

Pre-order from Silver Lining’s store or local retail for ESRB. Grey keys and “cart + DLC code” scalper bundles are out of scope. This site will not link them.

PC physical is unusual in 2026 and still Windows. It is not Steam Deck exclusive plastic. It is not an Xbox disc. Game Pass remains the Microsoft digital path.

Digital 1.0 versus waiting for plastic

Moonlighter 2 capsule with 1.0 out now
Official capsule: 1.0 is already out digitally. The box is a shelf date.

If you want Vault VII this week, download. If you want plastic, wait until 13 November 2026. If you want merch, Collector. None of those SKUs add Kalina Night as DLC. Demo on Steam and PS5 lets you test Herald before you pay for either date.

Switch 2 physical is a cart on hardware that, per PixelNitro, targets 720p/30 handheld and dynamic ~900p–1020p docked still at 30, with mid-20s bomb dips and 8–15 second loads. The cart will not buy 60 fps. PS5 disc is DualSense-shaped 1.0; this dump has no official Sony fps target, so this page will not promise 60 or 120. PC box is the same mouse-and-pad story as Steam.

Mistakes: buying a Switch 1 listing. Waiting until November to play if you already own digital. Expecting Xbox Series X plastic because the other two consoles have it. Expecting collector merch to be DLC codes. Assuming the November box is a different build or a patch you cannot get digitally. Inventing a 750000 gold boxed exclusive.

Canonical URLs live on https://moonlighter2wiki.wiki. Open switch-2-physical, xbox-physical, collector-edition, and release-date for the calendar split.

Retailers that still say “coming soon” after 2 September are looking at plastic. Digital should be live. Timezone map in Developer Update #8 was the hour for 1.0, not for November shipping.

HowLongToBeat hours do not change on cart. PixelNitro loads add minutes on Switch 2, not a second campaign. NWR crashes were a software note Digital Sun was aware of on 31 August; a cart in November is still that executable family, patched.

Game Pass is not a physical copy. Leaving the service can lock the license. A box you own is the opposite of that. That is the only ownership argument this page will make. Play Anywhere will not put a Series save onto a PS5 disc.

RPGamer’s 5 August 2026 story is the consumer-facing boxed article: digital 2 September, physical following, Silver Lining partnering with Digital Sun and 11 bit. The merch list is the same across platforms they box. Local ESRB carts may differ in rating marks, not in Vault VII.

GoNintendo repeats Switch 2 digital 2 Sept and physical 13 Nov, Standard and Collector, “ultimate retail experience.” Packaging poetry. The loop it describes is accurate: storefront by day, isometric 3D dungeon by night, Tresna after an anomaly, Will again.

Silver Lining Direct’s collector pages: pre-order, launches 13 November 2026, boxed, merch list, ESRB note for US/Canada, “couldn’t load pickup availability” on the scrape is a site widget, not a stock fact. Sold out vs pre-order will change; this page dated 3 September 2026 will not pretend to be live inventory.

PC boxed at £24.99 standard is the cheap plastic if you want a Windows disc or whatever Silver Lining pressed. It is not Game Pass. It is not Steam Cloud unless you also own Steam and somehow redeem — this page will not invent a redeem path that was not in the dump. Treat PC physical as a boxed license Silver Lining describes, and read the box fine print.

PS5 boxed at £34.99 standard is DualSense-shaped 1.0. Trophies live on Sony’s file. They will not mix with Steam. Collector at £59.99 UK announcement is merch plus the disc.

Switch 2 boxed at £44.99 standard is the expensive cart, which is normal for Nintendo plastic. Collector £69.99. Handheld 720p/30 remains the PixelNitro target. OLED contrast helps Night Realm. The cart does not add OLED.

Xbox absence is the FAQ. Series players use Game Pass or Microsoft digital purchase. If that changes after this page, believe a new Silver Lining post, not a scalper.

Shipping is not story hours. A November box does not include a bonus Vault VIII. 1.0’s story close is Endless Vault VII. Infinite Vault is the treadmill after that, already in September digital.

Do not pre-order a trainer, APK, or key site because plastic is “slow.” Official storefronts only. Moonlighter 1’s August 2026 giveaway is over and was marketing, not a sequel code inside a box.

If a retailer still shows Early Access in a cached widget, Steam’s own header already showed Released Sep 2, 2026 and EA date Nov 19, 2025 together. Believe Valve’s two fields for digital. Believe Silver Lining’s November field for plastic.

Collector merch is real-world. It will not unlock Endless Gauntlets. It will not seat a bloblet. It will not stamp Perfect. Put the coin on a shelf. Put relics in cases.

Region carts: Silver Lining’s ESRB note means US buyers should use local retail for the rated standard edition. That is labeling, not extra content. Import collectors for merch if you want; do not import expecting extra biomes.

A weekend can see the ending on digital before the truck arrives. HowLongToBeat’s small sample sits around fourteen hours for main story. Plastic is for people who want a box, not for people who think November is when the game “really” ships. 1.0 really shipped 2 September 2026.

Use Moonlighter 2 physical copy as a November shelf date for PC, PS5, and Switch 2 until you stop waiting for an Xbox disc that RPGamer did not announce, and until September digital is understood as the same Tresna.
